Are you planning to do in-home meetings to promote your home business locally? Will you be doing any sort of local meetings?

There are ways that you can improve how you do this, and ensure the success rate for people showing up at your meetings.

In-home meetings have been around since the beginning of the direct selling and network marketing industry. They have been one of the standards as a way to get the message out about what you do. They are done all over the world day and night, every single day.

Now, there are a lot of other ways to market now, such as social media, but that can be combined with in home meetings. Meetings are now held over skype, facebook messenger, and google hangouts. But, the fact is, in home meetings are still a very effective way to promote your business, and meet the people who are friends and aquaintences of your friends.

What if you had a "Magic Invitation" to send that would guarantee that people would show up, and what if your attendance rates could actually double? Okay, do I have your attention now? Then READ ON to find out about a simple technique using a powerful phrase that ensures your success...

How to send "Magic Invitations" for Your In-Home Business Meeting

If you are planning to send invitations, rather than create a Facebook only invitation only (which most people don't pay a lot of attention to anyway), send them an invitation in the mail about your meeting, and also send them an email as additional insurance. You can also invite them on Facebook, just do the other invitations as well. Do this 2 weeks before the date of your meeting.

Why do I say these are "Magic Invitations"? You're just about to find out why...

For example, a rep in my business (nutritional and weight management beverages), would send something that reads like this:

The "Magic Invitation":

“You are cordially invited to a Private Business Reception at my home on Wed. the 22nd, to celebrate the opening of our new business in the <Wellness & Weight Management Industry.> You will learn how important <Wellness & Weight Management> are today for our personal lives, and some little known tips and tricks that will help you <feel energized and lose some weight easily>. You will also learn how you can take advantage of a Trillion Dollar industry that is growing rapidly. It starts at <7:00>pm, and will end in around an hour or less. Food and drinks will be served and there will be free gifts and prizes for everyone who attends. Please RSVP. I look forward to seeing you!”

This invite is short, to the point, and lets them know what the meeting is about. Not only that, but if you notice the wording, it assumes that they will attend. There are many ways to write an invitation, check with your sponsor to see what he/she recommends. To ensure that the people you invite actually read your invitations, it's a good idea to invite them through social media, email them, and also send them a printed invitation through the postal service. Be sure to follow these invites with a personal phone call (which we will discuss below).

Now let's talk about what you should serve at your in home meeting. You want to be generous, but don't over do it. Flavored waters, bottled water, coffee, tea and finger foods are good options, and they are all that is really needed. Remember, this is a reception to celebrate your network marketing home business, it is NOT a big dinner or banquet. Also, a word of advice: NO ALCOHOL. This is a business meeting and you want to be sure that you are setting the standard for yourself and your team of professional business owners.

Follow up with a phone call:

“Hello Susan? This is Donna, I need your help with something. I recently sent you an invitation to a reception at my home, and I am following up because I really need you there as a friend. Can I count on you to be there for me?” The KEY PHRASE is: ”Can I count on you to be there for me?” This phrase can double your attendance at your meetings, because most people who know that they are being counted on will show up. And here is the GUARANTEE PHRASE that ensures that they will show up:

“And would you mind bringing some <plates/cups/or?> because I do need a little help with this meeting. Would you be willing to help me out with that? I really do appreciate your help!”
